URBAN GARDEN
Urban Garden is helping the community learn and become self-sufficient, by educating and helping people to grow their own food. As a response to COVID-19, they are building Resiliency Gardens and providing the production of local nutrient-dense fruits and vegetables. Through the actionable hope of building these gardens, their goal is to increase the resiliency in communities and the city of Richmond.
“I really don’t try to operate in a spirit of fear, I operate from a spirit of, ‘let me do everything that I can.’ So in my frame of reference, we’re doing everything that we can. […] So right now, for me, that community coming together is nullifying any fear or anxiety that I might have, and not only support our family, but help other people as well.”
